The Four Guardians
In ancient Chinese history there were four mystical guardians that protected China-The Dragon, guardian of the East; The Tiger, guardian of the West; The Turtle, guardian of the North; and The Phoenix, guardian of the South.
With great fortune, I also have four guardians who have been looking after me- my grandparents.
These four panels tell a story of enduring and overcoming hardship, fulfilling obligation, and facing destiny. If it weren't for these great people I would not be here today. I cannot help but feel extremely lucky and blessed. This is a tribute to these great guardians.
