'Hawksbill Rising'

 

Hawksbill Rising is a glorious depiction of a highly endangered hawksbill turtle rising above the waves as a symbol of hope and resilience. She is a mighty representation of our oceans and all her inhabitants to inspire us to take good care of our world and ourselves.

This rare large original painting by Martin Hsu is created entirely on a 36 x 36" wood panel. Each wood grain meticulous painted to create oceanic waves and meandering clouds. Metallic gold paint is used on the turtle shell so that her glow serves as a guiding light.
